78-year-old transforms lifestyle with Project 23 assistance

3 minute read

A 78-year-old Project 23 client has turned her life around after going from 127kg to 96kg in just under a year after regular coaching at Warwickshire’s premier private training facility.

Olive Burrows once faced a leg amputation as a result of being overweight, culminating in long-term leg ulcers, which doctors were not able to fix. The case escalated so badly that Olive was told she would lose her leg. But, the next day, she visited Project 23 in a bid to change her life and sought help in basic mobility, strength work and diet

Within 17 weeks of regular trips to Project 23, Olive’s leg ulcers disappeared, much to the relief and surprise of her doctors who had not seen such a change in someone’s ability to walk.

Remaining active at this age is key to longevity. At one stage of her life, Olive could not even walk 50 metres to see her family across the road. Now she is zipping around Project 23’s facility as well as taking walks around her family farm.

Olive has now lost 30kg and her quality of life has much improved. Such is her enjoyment of being at Project 23, she trains regularly and now has a role as an Assistant Coach to other elderly clients, where she helps them make life changing results.

And she has not stopped there. Watch this space for more updates.
